What is the fastest engine for my 2001 cavalier?
Q. I already have 120,000 miles on my 2001 cavalier and am trying to find the fastest & inexpensive engine to buy for my cavalier once it brakes down on me. I would just sell it off but have already put too much money into the looks of it and don't want to lose out. I have heard the ecotech engines are good but don't have pricing. Also, going to add a turbo charger or supercharger which ever is better for the new engine.

The 5 speed is an excellent transmission as is the differential. All are reasonably stout pieces of equipment. When GM built them in the W41 Cutlass of the early 90's. they were excellent performers, producing an advertised 190 hp. Since I know you have Yahoo, please check with Quadfourm in Yahoo groups. There is a wealth of information there including a fellow with a turbocharger who is quite successful at the drags. How much should it cost to replace a 2001 Nissan Sentra expansion valve?
Q. Is this even what I should be replacing? I have a 2001 Nissan Sentra that has under 85000 miles and as of this summer the AC has stopped working. Air still blows out, but it is not cool as the compressor is not turning on. If you open the hood and take a listen, you hear no difference from when the AC is on or not. Innitially, I tried using an AC charger kit and obviously that was not the problem. Then I thought that the compressor needed to be replaced, but I think it is much too early for that to go on the car. I brought it to a mechanic that specializes in foreign cars and he said that it was the expansion valve that needed to be replaced and that it would cost $440.00. How to adjust the side mirrors in Jetta 2001?
Q. I know it's a little stupid question, I have bought a 2001 Jetta and the seller didn't have the manual. Now, I don't know how to adjust the side mirrors. Actually, it has a switch on the left side of the driver with 3 different options (Left, Right, and a picture of windshield) I switch it to the left and right but nothing happens! A. Actually, there ARE 2 serpentine belts on your LS powered Suburban. A large one that drives everything except the A/C and a tiny small one the drive's the A/C only. The small one is down low to the passenger side. You'll have to remove the large belt first by pushing over the spring loaded tensioner with the proper tool. Remember it is spring loaded. Then, if it's a 4x4, just slide under and do the same with the little A/C belt, spring loaded tensioner. Just remember the belt routing's and make sure they all get put back in the proper gooves. There's usually a belt routing diagram somewhere around the front underhood plastic cowling. If not, draw a diagram or take a picture with a cell before removing the belt's.

I have seen very poorly maintained 1.8t's die before they make it out of warranty. In your case, be sure to only use synthetic engine oil and if the timing belt hasn't been done within the last 5 years or so, do it now. Be aware of sludge issues with this engine too. Check the underside fo the oil cap for sludge residue. If there is any, you may want to look into a flush and stuff. Audi dealers have a procedure that involves replacing several lines and using factory cleaning equipment to resolve most of these issues. Its not going to be cheap. A. its not a hard job at all,go buy a parts store and get the new one first then look at the old on really good before you remove it,they mount on the upper part of the brake pedal arm,if you,ll watch how you remove this one you can replace it just as easy,it has a pin that helps hold it on,unplug it first then remove it,if you don't feel comfortable doing it have a shop do it they will only charge a few bucks to install them,i charge 10 bucks at the shop for this most of the time,sometimes less,so its not a expensive job and the part is cheap also,good luck with it.

A. dont consume it..it will consume you...though the ingredients like embilica officinalis, terminilia spp, tamarindus and other etc are herbal dont take it..its just a matter of few buck on one hand and your life on the other...

What is the best way to repair/replace a ripped seat on a 2001 jeep wrangler sport?
Q. I own a 2001 jeep wrangler sport (stock) and the front drivers side seat has a 2 inch tear located on the side. The seats are black with random triangles and lines. I would like to stay away from seat covers. Can you replace just the factory bottom seat cloth? What is the best and cheapest fix?

A. Possibly the cheapest would probably be an upholstery shop. They'll use aftermarket cloth to make a new cover. Second would be to order the cloth from Jeep. If memory serves, yes, you can just replace the bottom seat cloth. Go to your local dealers parts department and they'll be able to find out what you need. You'll need a set of bull ring pliers and some bull rings. Look on ebay for a package deal. Reupholstering a cloth seat is really not that difficult after you understand how it's done and get a hang of using the bullring pliers.

How much will it cost for a 2001 Toyota Highlander Limited Edition replacement key?
Q. A Toyota dealership in town claims it to be $1600. They claim the reason is because it is a 2001 Limited Edition. But does anyone really know? Just don't want to get duped! help!

A. I have recently had the same problem but I did not have the Limited Edition but It did work very well and the programming is surprisingly easy. I would definitely try it before I spent $1600. Copy and paste this link
