What separates Christian "Science" from the Tobacco Companies "Research" centers?
Q. Tobacco companies prevented lawsuits by "proving" tobacco wasn't harmful to your health or addictive by creating "research" centers which paid scientists to find or create evidence in their favor. Are Christian Science folks trying to find truth or prove that the Bible is correct? (Everything that could be considered fact in the scientific community, outside of "christian science" indicates that the stories in Genisis are false.) Are Christian Science folks trying to find truth, or prove that the Bible is correct? *comma helps. sorry about the confusion.*

A. While there are Christian Scientists who try to prove that Genesis is true or that smoking is bad, there are many, many more that are pursuing other studies (such as research on currently incurable diseases, or better methods for transporting much needed energy and water to impoverished cities/nations). Likewise, there are many "Non-Christian Scientists", as you call them, who are trying to disprove evolution and prove that smoking gives you cancer and turns your lungs into blackened gooey lumps of meat. All scientists worth their salt, be they Christian, Moslem, Atheist, Jewish, or any other religion, strive to find the truth, whether it would be about health risks of cigarettes, or Incan architecture, or why we think the way we think,… [cont.]
