Q. Or do you see the folly of looking for a silver bullet, and instead seek a dynamic and wide reaching network of evidence that is best explained by the theory of evolution? If so, perhaps that is the very crux of why no common ground can be found between Creationists and yourselves: the basic unit of measure is incompatible. On the other hand, if you do seek that elusive silver bullet, perhaps there is enough common ground that Creationists would be the other side of the same coin and you would be deserving of the derogatory term "Evolutionism". Asked by Von Hirskenbonger - Wed Nov 12 00:23:44 2008 - - 18 Answers - 0 Comments A. You are correct. The silver bullet is not a single piece of evidence, it is everything. Every organism on the planet, every genome, every gene, all tell a single story...evolution. This story fits perfectly with all of geology, cosmology, archeology, anthropology, chemistry and physics. It's the story of the entire universe. Its consistent and coherent and far more beautiful than any religious text. Enough waxing poetic. There are three pieces of genetic data that creationist have a hard time dealing with. They're decent silver bullets when you don't have to time to lecture on all of existence. Answered by Lee S - Tue Dec 16 07:51:37 2008 Why do creationist continue to quote pseudo-science?
Q. I constantly hear the same argument against evolution based on "scientific" finding. Almost all of the information questioning evolution is at least a decade old and most is 20 or 30 years old. It wasn't valid then and it isn't valid now. I have read a lot of the "scientific" arguments against evolution and I have found that ALL of them have been debunked. They have been proven to be incorrect not by one scientist but many. Either the data is flawed or the information has been misinterpreted. Science is constantly changing it is dynamic and open to contrary opinion, but when something is proven to be incorrect creationist continue to site it as fact. As for Intelligent design: An overwhelming majority of the scientific community views… [cont.] Asked by trouthunter - Wed Sep 27 15:55:20 2006 - - 22 Answers - 0 Comments A. I was origionally drawn to this forum by a question based on pseudo-science, which tried to prove that there are "scientific miracles" in their "holy" book. It felt good to show exactly how and where the asker was wrong, and to give him the REAL facts, so that he could make his OWN conclusions ... rather than blindly believing what he did. He was infected with the DISEASE of misinformation, and was unknowingly spreading it. Pseudo-science is disgusting, and insults the intelligence of anyone who is unfortunate enough to witness it...even the person using it!! I am very spiritual, and the religion I have CHOSEN is Catholocism. The reason I prefer Catholocism over any other "denomination" is because they seem to embrace the fact that the… [cont.] Answered by s - Wed Sep 27 16:20:39 2006 From Yahoo Answer Search: "evolution and dynamics" |
