how does the hydrosphere affect the atmosphere?
Q. how does the hydrosphere affect the atmosphere?

A. The broad answer to this question is encapsulated as the field: "air-sea interaction." A good synopsis of physical air-sea interaction can be found here: Googling "air-sea interaction" will turn up a lot more on this. A second reference, for looking at the process from a more biogeochemical perspective, is provided by the Surface Ocean Lower Atmosphere Study, which goes by the name of SOLAS. SOLAS has put out a very comprehensive series of documents that are available on the web that go into air-sea fluxes and how the ocean affects the chemistry of the atmosphere (and vice versa). The website for SOLAS is: The link on the left-hand side to the science plans and implementation strategies will guide you to the documents.

A. Try not to think of those terms as items, but more as categories that encompass different aspects of the earth. Now, about how those categories affect the biosphere. The hydrosphere, the sphere of influence that deals with water in its various forms (some separate out ice and call that the cryosphere), provides the biosphere with a much needed component...water. Life would not exist as we know it without water. It places in important role for all organisms, alongside playing an important role in various earth processes. The lithosphere deals with the earth itself, or land. Land provides a safe-haven for many organisms, both marine and land-dwelling. It plays an active role in plant development, and in our case, food development… [cont.]

A. Incidentally, that is a very pathetic attempt at an excuse to get me to do your homework. There are thousands of volcanoes that haven't erupted in a long time, and you can learn all about them. Lithosphere --> Fuji receives magma through the lithosphere. The weight of the mountain presses down on the lithosphere as it searches to reach isostatic equilibrium ("upward force equals downward force") Biosphere --> Lava flows can directly impact habitats, geothermal fluids can make surface waters more acidic, gases (if concentrated enough) can affect plant growth. Hydrosphere --> During eruptions, can release water vapor (as steam) into the atmosphere, which will enter the hydrologic cycle as rain. As mentioned, fluids can chance acidity. … [cont.]

A. Acid rain is rain or any other form of precipitation that is unusually acidic. It has harmful effects on plants, aquatic animals and buildings. Acid rain is mostly caused by human emissions of sulfur and nitrogen compounds which react in the atmosphere to produce acids. Solution: Many coal-burning power plants use scrubbers to remove sulphur-containing gases from their stack gases.

A. The term Geosphere is often used to refer to the densest parts of Earth, which consist mostly of rock and regolith.[1] The term originally applies to the four nested geospheres identified since Meteorology (Aristotle) with the states of terrestrial matter: solid (earth), liquid (water), gas (air), and plasma (fire). The nested geospheres then include the asthenosphere, lithosphere, hydrosphere, atmosphere, and the ionosphere or plasmasphere. The dense geosphere is also subdivided into the crust, mantle, and core. The outer core is unusual in that it is considered to be a liquid, yet it is a part of Earth's interior. In modern texts, geosphere refers to the solid parts of the Earth and is used along with atmosphere, hydrosphere, and… [cont.]

Also please don`t leave large spacial gaps, very annoying. Now that I got this of my chest, I will direct you to the homework category. It is found under Education and Reference. You really will stand more of a chance if you separate your questions individually. SD
