A. Having strong analytical skills means that you are able to view and analyze (look into) a situation from a very logical, systematic perspective. Not everyone carries such characteristic. It is a good quality to have but only to a certain extend. People that possess very high analytical skills usually lack personal skills and tend to be more technical and math oriented. Problem solving skills go hand-in-hand with the analytical ones. It requires that, after analyzing a certain issue, you will be able to find a good solution, preferably fast (or within timely manner) and at a possibly lowest cost to the company. I hope this helps to understand the terms better. Good luck with the job opportunity.

A. Use examples from your education and experience that demonstrate that you know the analytical process related to the job you are applying. Give examples of a projects you worked on a job or in college that shows your ability to come up with ideas to improve how the work is performed, then how to base a recommendation on the results, usually in report or pesentation form with chart, tables, and/or graphs. The "evaluate security controls" I would interprete that as presenting examples that you know how to test whether or not the current security measures in place are effective. If they are not, you have the ability to propose improvements or new security measures. Basically, you are showing examples that you can do all the problem… [cont.]
