How often do researchers from peer-review journals let others see their original data sets?
Q. I'm curious because I want to play around with data for fun on some statistics software I'm teaching myself, plus I want to create equations to describe/predict things that I find interesting in peer-review journals. How often do they let others see their original data sets?

A. I can only speak for social sciences, as that is area I'm in, but I bet other sciences are the same. Letting others see your data is part of the peer-review process. Usually a journal article will list contact information for the corresponding author. You can write them and ask them for data sets, scales, and things of that sort. Generally they are willing to share the details of their published information with others in the academic world. In the unlikely event that they refuse to share information with you, it is probably because they are still working with it and don't want you to swoop them on publishing something (research can be very competitive) or because it was proprietary research for a customer (not usually the case in peer-revi [cont.]

How to search for journals articles online and in national library?
Q. I tried to search online, but all seems need to pay for it.. Is there any free journals articles whereby i can download and have it? and library journals...?

A. The previous poster is right that the best source for free access will be through whatever local libraries (national, public, and/or college) you have in your area. Many these days offer online access to journal article databases you can search as a member. What are the best / most highly-regarded academic journals in psychology?
Q. I want to keep up with current research and topics in the field of psychology, especially neuropsychology. What are the most well-regarded journals and/or publications in the world of psychology that I should be reading? In print would be best, but online is more than welcome. Thanks!

A. Hey..I also love to read psychology books.I have done my continuing education online course from NACE. I have done psychological and educational assessment of children from there which covers all the aspects of child and adolescent assessment.It really helped me to understand the history of development of psychological and educational testing.Very much satisfied with that.
